The Cimbal mobile payment application, available for iPhone and Android devices, is a clever application that turns a smartphone's camera into barcode scanner to transmit payment information.

The Cimbal application is PIN protected to safeguard user data. -
The Cimbal app uses a 2D barcode, scanned by the smartphone's camera, to transmit transaction data from a POS screen, smartphone or even from a printed receipt. -
The Cimbal mobile wallet allows funding from any number of accounts, including credit cards, debit cards, gift cards and bank accounts. -
The Cimbal app allows users to request payments as well, turning a phone into a payment terminal with no reader required.
