Wienerschnitzel, a hot dog chain known for its chili dogs, announced today it has launched a loyalty-based mobile app to reward guests. The Wiener Rewards mobile app is available for download for both iOS and Android operating systems, and rewards members on a point system towards earning free food.

The app is designed to reward loyal fans and, with mobile payment functionality, provides convenience and accessibility, according to a company press release. App users automatically earn 10 free points just for signing up, and will continue to earn one point for every dollar spent with each purchase. Once a member has reached 40 points, they will receive a free combo meal, choosing from six combo options.

"Although there's nothing quite like a world-famous Wienerschnitzel chili dog, we understand there are many dining options available, so we want to reward our guests for choosing us," Wienerschnitzel Chief Marketing Officer Doug Koegeboehn said in a statement. "We've got some very exciting new menu items in the works that we know our fans are going to love, and as members, they’ll get to enjoy the many perks of our rewards program too."

To earn loyalty points, guests check-in on the app at any Wienerschnitzel location and show the cashier their three-digit code. All Wiener Rewards Members also will receive a free Old Fashioned Sundae or Corn Dog on their birthday.

The new Wiener Rewards Mobile App includes features beyond loyalty benefits, such as location-based technology that provides directions to the nearest Wienerschnitzel and a re-loadable mobile payment option, the release stated. The app also connects to Wienerschnitzel’s videos and allows users to view Wienerschnitzel social media content.
