WePay adds Google Wallet Instant Buy support for online purchases
InvoiceASAP, which provides invoice services for small businesses, is the first WePay customer to implement the Instant Buy feature.
WePay, a payments service provider in the U.S., Monday announced it has integrated the Google Wallet Instant Buy API to give its retail partners the ability to let consumers pay for online purchases using Google Wallet.
"Although Google Wallet is our first of announcement of its kind, you can expect to see more like it soon," WePay wrote in a company blog post. "Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for any online platform to take advantage of mobile wallet technologies, no matter what those technologies are."
WePay said it started with Google Wallet because of Android's market share worldwide and the fact that it can be used in native applications and on the mobile Web.
"That means it currently serves the most users in the most contexts, and that makes for an excellent first step," WePay wrote.
