Virtual Piggy adds more functionality to Oink P2P mobile app

The Neon release of the app provides increased visibility and control of potential funders of the youth wallet.

Virtual Piggy, provider of the mobile wallet Oink, this past week announced what it calls the Neon release of their iOS app with added money transfer functionality using P2P technology.

"The Neon release of our app presents a number of exciting new features including Touch ID authentication and an enhanced notifications engine," Dr. Jo Webber, CEO and founder of Virtual Piggy, said in a statement. "By adhering to U.S. COPPA laws we are delivering the appropriate controls and safeguards to allow Oink money transfers to be used by all members of the family."

Virtual Piggy said in a press release that the Neon release provides increased visibility and control of potential funders of the youth wallet. A new notifications engine provides full transparency into all funding and spending activities and delivers important information to the consumer on all Apple devices, including the Apple Watch. Parents have complete visibility as to whom their children have invited to fund their accounts, as well as the ability to manage individual funders and put a hold on child spending at any time, according to the announcement.
