Unwired Nation's mobile banking product meant for smaller FIs
Company is offering a product that rivals similar apps from major banks such as Bank of America.
Unwired Nation, a mobile platform provider powering hundreds of mobile banking applications in partnership with online banking providers, has announced the availability of its next-generation mobile banking platform, Unwired Banking. The product is meant to meet the needs of community-focused financial institutions in the U.S.
"Customers prefer the ease of use and convenience of banking on their smartphone. We believe that every community financial institution deserves a mobile app as good as Bank of America's, and that is what Unwired Banking provides," Chere Heintzmann, CEO of Unwired Nation, said in a statement.
"Unwired Banking brings community financial institutions the features that their customers are demanding today in a mobile banking app, and will meet their needs for future-forward features like mobile payments and biometric security, all with one revolutionary platform," said Dana Bowers, founder of iPay Technologies and Digital Compliance, LLC.
Unwired's new platform, which currently supports Apple iOS and Google Android operating system, is pre-integrated for remote deposit capture and uses Intuit for secure, real-time customer account data.
The company said Unwired Banking puts security front and center. It meets and exceeded FFIEC guidelines for security, and Unwired said it embraces advanced account security measures, supporting two-factor security of any existing online banking solution. In the near future, the company also plans to announce support for cross-platform mobile biometric security.
