TIO completes first phase of Missouri deployment

City Utilities of Springfield, Mo. has signed a 5-year contract with TIO Networks Corp. to launch expedited bill payment services across mobile, self-serve kiosk and retail channels, according to a company press release.

City Utilities customers can now pay their bills at self-serve kiosks located in the Springfield main office, and in the future will be able to pay via iOS and Android smartphones, or at walk-up, clerk-assisted locations, the announcement said.

The first phase of kiosk installations was completed in October, enabling customers to pay their bills with cash, credit or check. The launch of mobile and over-the-counter payments is expected by the end of the year.

"We're delighted to offer City Utilities our complete suite of bill payment solutions that are designed to work across multiple platforms to meet the bill pay needs of their customers," said Hamed Shahbazi, chairman and CEO of TIO Networks. "TIO's bill payment channels unify integration, reporting, reconciliation, support and remittance processes, making bill payment much easier to manage."
