Tillster helps Burger King New Zealand launch mobile loyalty app

Tillster last year introduced similar capabilites for Burger King in the U.S. with PayPal as a payment partner.

Tillster Inc., a provider of digital ordering and engagement products and services for the restaurant industry, Tuesday announced that it has introduced Burger King New Zealand's first-ever mobile loyalty and couponing platform, according to a press release.

Tillster last year introduced similar capabilities for Burger King in the U.S. with PayPal as a payment partner.

In New Zealand, Tillster developed the loyalty and couponing app with Burger King local master franchisee, Antares Restaurant Group Ltd.

"The launch of this loyalty program is a tremendous milestone for our partnership with Burger King," said Perse Faily, Tillster's CEO. "This marks the first loyalty and coupon based platform to roll out in this market from any global brand — and right now, it's the number one most downloaded. We're pleased to be part of such an exciting growth opportunity."

New Zealand customers can now engage with Burger King at home and on the go redeeming special coupons based on user preferences and "crowns" that accumulate with each purchase, according to the announcement. Burger King guests can elect to save crowns and get a higher value item or redeem them right away and start earning toward their next redemption. Adding further flexibility, the application rewards customers with each visit and uses coupons to drive behaviors at certain times or around certain products.

Users will be receiving messages through Tillster's new Mobile Engagement Tool, which enables Burger King to send "smart" and personalized messages to guests to drive engagement. In addition to being personalized to their food choices and name, the tool is able to send these messages at times when guests are most likely to engage with the app, increasing use and, ultimately, satisfaction.
