Austin, Texas-based Tabbedout and POS provider Harbortouch are teaming up. The mobile payment solution from Tabbedout, which allows bar and restaurant patrons to pay for their check using an app on their smartphone, will be integrated into the Harbortouch touchscreen POS systems, the companies said. 

Tabbedout as a payment option will be integrated into all Harbortouch Hospitality POS systems currently deployed and will be automatically included with new systems. This expands Tabbedout availability to more than 10,000 locations nationwide, the partners said in a statement. Tabbedout has partnered with other POS makers in the past, including Dinerware and MICROS, to expand its market footprint. 

Using the Tabbedout app, bar and restaurant customers can open a tab, review their orders and pay at when they're ready to leave. It also provides merchants with loyalty and marketing tools.

"Integrating with a POS leader like Harbortouch allows thousands of merchants to leverage their existing Harbortouch POS system to offer mobile payment and enables us to expand our solution to a wider network of restaurants, bars and hotels nationwide," said Alex Broeker , CEO of Tabbedout. "Our goal is to make mobile payment an everyday simple and secure process for the consumer that generates additional revenue for Tabbedout merchants."
