Deluxe Corp. this week introduced a way to enable small business owners to send, receive and approve check payments from an iPhone or other iOS devices, according to a press release. 

The Mobile Checkbook app serves as an extension to Deluxe eChecks, powered by VerifyValid, first introduced in 2013, according to a press release. Deluxe eChecks enable users to securely make and receive check payments entirely online, utilizing a virtual lockbox and virtual remote deposit capture system. The Deluxe Mobile Checkbook app brings this technology to iOS-powered devices, while maintaining the confidence of a printed check. Recipients receive a legally valid check that can be used wherever and whenever checks are accepted, according to the press release.

"The Deluxe Mobile Checkbook is a quick and easy way for small business owners to write, approve, sign, receive and deposit payments anywhere through their mobile device," said Malcolm McRoberts, senior vice president of small business services at Deluxe. "Whether it is from the truck at a job site or at a lunch meeting with a vendor, Deluxe eChecks are a convenient, real-time solution that leverages today’s evolving technological trends."
