Singapore mPOS company reveals new global strategy

SCCP Group becomes goSwiff as company also focuses on marketing services for its clients.

Singapre-based goSwiff, a mobile commerce and marketing services company, today announced it connected its 50th bank client in GCB Bank Ltd. in Ghana to use its mobile point-of-sale commerce platform. At the same time, goSwiff (formerly SCCP Group) CEO Simone Ranucci Brandimarte unveiled in a press release a new business strategy for the company's global operations.

"GCB Bank Ltd. is the oldest and largest indigenous commercial bank in Ghana and leads the way in innovation with new banking technology," Erik Holst-Roness, chief strategy officer and president of CEMEA for goSwiff, said in a statement. "This is a bank with a strong commitment to customer service and the determination to make a change in the way their clients go about banking."

The comapny's new strategy is to expand its mobile payment offering to mobile commerce platform and marketing and engagement services for financial institutions, mobile network operators and merchants, according to the press release. 

"Banks and MNOs are facing challenges in distributing mobile POS solutions, and we are responding to their needs with our extended offering, including professional services, distribution capabilities and value added services for spending simulation,"  Ranucci Brandimarte said in a statement. "Consumer and merchant engagement and leveraging big data analysis are prerequisite for growth and success in mobile commerce market."
