Apple this fall will release a new iPhone with NFC integration and also include the technology in its long-rumored iWatch, according to an investor note from KGI securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo.

Several media outlets Thursday reported about Kuo's research note. He has been fairly accurate about Apple's product launches in the past.

Kuo's prediction falls in line with patents Apple has filed in the last few years relating to mobile payments and the introduction of a mobile wallet for consumers who use the iPhone, iPad and iTunes.

In January, Apple CEO Tim Cook said in an earnings call that mobile payments intrigued the tech company to the point that it influenced the development of the iPhone 5s' TouchID fingerprint scanner.
