Powa Technologies Monday announced a strategic partnership between its PowaPOS division and Merchant e-Solutions, a U.S.-based provider of end-to-end global payment products, and a company of the Cielo group.

Through this partnership, the two companies will jointly market their complementary POS and payment solutions to help independent software vendors bring their apps to market, focusing particularly on accelerating the adoption of tablet-based payments in the U.S. and Latin America, according to a press release.

PowaPOS said it is the first point-of-sale platform purpose built for tablet-based payments. It is the only fully integrated design to incorporate all common retail peripherals and support all POS software across all operating systems, iOS, Android and Windows, according to the announcement. Through a single cord, the PowaPOS T25 powers a built in thermal printer, 2D scanner, universal tablet mount, orientation sensor, an optional PowaPOS Cash Drawer, and can support third-party payment devices, including NFC-enabled ones. With its single-API SDK, PowaPOS easily integrates with all POS software applications, as well as PowaTag, Powa Technologies' mobile commerce enablement app.
