Omanye Money launches international mobile remittances to Ghana

U.K.-based Omanye Money has launched an international remittance service enabling customers to transfer funds directly from their mobile phones to recipients' Airtel Money mobile wallets in Ghana.

Airtel Money is a mobile money service operated by the multinational mobile operator Airtel.

Omanye said transfers to Ghana take place instantly and can be set up using SMS text messaging and Interactive Voice Response from customers' mobile phones. Online and agent-based transfers are also available.

Airtel Money subscribers who receive Omanye Money Transfer transactions in their mobile money account will be able to use the funds to pay bills or make cardless ATM cash withdrawals at any Fidelity Bank ATM and 2,500 Airtel agents across Ghana.

Omanye Money account holders who receive Airtel Money transactions in their account will be able to use the funds to pay bills, send international mobile airtime top-ups, shop online, transfer money internationally or withdraw at ATM and agents locations across the world.
