Mobile.up promises fast, flexible, easy banking app development for FIs
W.up is debuting Mobile.up, a mobile banking product designed to allow the rapid development of native mobile banking applications.
Unlike many "packaged" mobile banking applications, Mobile.up offers a quick, flexible and easy-to-deploy solution for iOS and Android, according to a press release.
The platform contains a set of common and core services that support separate function development during customization.
"We know how challenging it can be for banks to go digital," W.up CEO Béla Bodnár said in the release. "Over the last one-and-a-half decades, we've seen failed strategies, vague promises and one-size-fits-all solutions sold as tailor-made. That's why we created W.up."
To meet evolving customer needs, Mobile.up can provide a fast and effective product implementation and development cycle, the release said. Core features are deliverable within three months, followed by new releases every three months.
Core functions include account and card overview, statements, card operations, traditional transfers, payment to phone number and push notification services. Additional features such as ATM locator, call center authentication or gesture functions are available à la carte to the customer.
Hungary's MKB Bank has implemented W.up to created a personalized mobile banking app available to customers using iOS and Andoid mobile devices, stated the release.
"We were looking for a team that not only knows the latest mobile application trends, but understands the specific language and aspects of a bank and who can take part in the collaborative thinking," said MKB e-banking head Gergely Dervarics.
