Mobile app replaces punch cards at Pinkberry

Oct. 12, 2012

Pinkberry is no longer using paper punch cards and has created Pinkcard, a new loyalty program via a mobile app.

The Pinkcard makes tracking purchases and redeeming loyalty rewards easier than ever, according to a company press release. The app, free to download on both iOS and Android platforms, gives users the power to send and receive eGifts and use stored credit for payment with the touch of a button. It also features a flavor-finding tool to locate nearby stores where their favorite Pinkberry flavors are available.

To show loyal fans its appreciation, Pinkberry will reward one customer who downloads and registers the app before Nov. 21 with free Pinkberry for a Year, which includes four catered parties for up to 25 people, free take-home every week and $600 worth of eGifts to send to friends and family.

App features include:

Rewards: Immediately upon registering, customers will receive the value of a free small Pinkberry with toppings. They will continue to receive a free small Pinkberry with toppings after every 10th purchase and on their birthdays. Pinkcard members will also receive surprise rewards and exclusive offers throughout the year.

Flavor Finder & Store Locator: In addition to locating stores, the Flavor Finder tool on the mobile app enables customers to find the closest store with their favorite flavors. Loyalty members will also instantly be alerted when new or returning flavors arrive in stores.

Payment: The Pinkcard can be used to pay at any Pinkberry store using stored cash value, and it can be automatically reloaded via the Pinkcard website or app. Within the mobile app, card funds can be managed and reward status is visible at all times.

eGifting and Social Sharing: Pinkberry Pinkcards can also be bought and given as gift cards. Pinkcard eGifts can be sent with ease through email or through Facebook using Facebook Connect, which is integrated into the mobile app. It also promotes social sharing with easy access to posting on Facebook, 4square and Twitter within the app itself.

Feedback: Consumers can instantly share their ideas and comments with a promise from Pinkberry to respond within 24 hours.
