MICROS Systems Inc., a provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, has announced that it has partnered with Pinkberry to implement Google Wallet. When used with the MICROS POS, Google Wallet allows Pinkberry customers to tap their device on an NFC (Near Field Communications) reader to quickly make their purchase and simultaneously redeem coupons and receive discounts.

Google Wallet is now live in 69 Pinkberry locations in the U.S.

In addition to Google Wallet, other technology solutions installed at each Pinkberry U.S. location include the fully integrated MICROS point-of-sale solution and the MICROS PCWS 2010 POS terminals.

“At the core of everything we do is our commitment to exceptional customer service,” said Tony DiCenzo, Sr. vice president of IT, Pinkberry. “The rollout of Google Wallet underscores our goal of using innovative technology to enhance our customers’ experience. Now, with just a swipe of a smartphone, consumers can purchase Pinkberry products.”
