LevelUp plugs into online checkout with WooCommerce
Mobile-payments provider lets users pay online with their account and receive a push notification on their smartphone to confirm a purchase.
LevelUp is now getting invloved with online checkouts as the Boston-based mobile-payments provider has parntered with e-commerce company WooCommerce that enables consumers to purchase goods using their LevelUp account.
To pay with LevelUp, customers enter their LevelUp email address and receive a push notification to their mobile device asking for purchase confirmation, according to a press release. Once they confirm, their LevelUp account is connected to the merchant and they are ready to checkout. The customer’s LevelUp account can be saved by the merchant to allow for a faster checkout on future visits, according to the announcement.
Customers have the ability to remotely deauthenticate each merchant's access to their account, according to the press releaese. Customers also have the option to do a "Quick Checkout" with LevelUp to save time. This removes an average of 200 keystrokes from a customer's checkout experience. By logging in with LevelUp, customers avoid the need to register for a new account, type in their shipping address and enter their credit card number.
"We couldn't be more excited to partner with LevelUp and to get this product out to WooCommerce merchants," Joel Bronkowski, head of business development for WooCommerce, said in a statement. "We are confident LevelUp will provide our users with more ways to save costs and increase revenue. It's all part of the WooCommerce mission to make ecommerce simple, powerful and profitable for our merchants."
Woocommerce will offer LevelUp as a free addon during a three-month launch promotion, after which time purchasing the integration will cost $79.
