Kofax works with Blackhawk to enhance digital wallet

A mobile capture feature is intended to make it easier for consumers to spend, share and keep gift cards secure.

Kofax Limited, a provider of customer engagement software, and Blackhawk Network, a prepaid and payments network, Tuesday announced an OEM agreement that will enable the patented Kofax Mobile Capture SDK to be integrated within Blackhawk's digital services platform, according to a press release. This feature is intended to make it easier for consumers to spend, share and keep gift cards secure and remove the difficulty of onboarding new cards and checking card balances.

Kofax Mobile Capture SDK, working within Blackhawk's digital services app, enables GoWallet users to hover their iOS or Android mobile device over any gift card to instantly retrieve and validate balance information, as available, and store that information within the GoWallet digital wallet, according to the announcement. GoWallet is a free online and mobile service,
