After months of speculation and weeks of rumor, it's now officially official: Isis launches pilot programs in Salt Lake City, Utah and Austin, Texas on Oct. 22. Jaymee Johnson, Isis' head of marketing, issued the following statement on Wednesday:

"By year end, as many as 20 Isis Ready handsets are expected to be in market. We look forward to sharing more details on Oct. 22."
