Intuit's GoPayment gets an update

Intuit updating its GoPayment mobile payment app with some new features and functionalities aimed at small business customers.

The new version allows the user to customize the GoPayment app and receipts, track cash payments, manage inventory and transactions across devices, and even control access to information when deploying multiple GoPayment-enabled devices across a workforce.

"We are constantly improving GoPayment to ensure we meet the unique needs of all types of small businesses," said Chris Hylen, vice president and general manager of Intuit Payment Solutions. "We based our enhancements to GoPayment on customer insights and feedback. We’ve developed a new look and features to deliver a more seamless, efficient experience while continuing to provide the same value and benefits countless small business owners have come to trust."

The original GoPayment mobile POS solution was released in May 2009. The solution turned smartphones into mobile point-of-sale terminals, an idea that has spawned a market unto itself.

The new GoPayment is available for download for both iOS devices.
