Infobip to use virtual credits, tokens in direct carrier billing pact with Jordanian MNO

Company's currency can be used for games, social networks, multimedia content and smartphone apps.

Infobip today announced it has strengthened its partnership Jordan-based mobile network operator Umniah to offer an direct mobile billing service to its subscribers, according to a press release.

Infobip said in the announcement direct carrier billing with enable Umniah subscribers to pay for virtual credits and tokens for use on games, social networks, multimedia content and smartphone apps. This method enables subcribers to bill purchases to their mobile phone bill. 

Umniah is considered Jordan's fastest-growing mobile operator and has gained a strong reputation among users for ensuring quality at affordable prices. Infobip’s partnership with Umniah is intended to help the MNO gain insight into the mobile habits and preferences of its younger users, according to the announcement.
