Indonesian bank contributes to cashless push with new mPOS offering

Bank Mandiri partners with goSwiff and local company to release Mandiri Mobile POS.

Indonesia-based Bank Mandiri today launched a mobile point-of-sale product, Mandiri Mobile POS, in collaboration with goSwiff and its local partner Indopay, according to a press release.

"The advantage is that we offer mobile payments along with our existing POS solution to the merchants," said Frans Usthavia Rico, senior executive vice president of transaction banking for Bank Mandiri. "[Our product] is equipped with functions to take service orders, to provide inventory and to offer loyalty programs for the merchant's loyal customers. It can be integrated with existing POS already owned by the merchant, hence offering a more complete solution to our clients."

Bank Mandiri is testing the mPOS integration with service ordering system with restaurant Holycow Steak.
