Global Payments to deploy EMV-ready, Apriva mPOS devices

The agreement enables Global Payments to provide white-labeled mobile payment products to its U.S. clients through Apriva's mobile payments solution, AprivaPay Plus.

Apriva and Global Payments Inc. today announced an agreement to deliver white-label mobile point-of-sale products with EMV to Global Payments' U.S. customers, according to a press release.

"Mobile payments are increasingly crucial in today’s market. Merchants that haven't embraced a mobile solution risk missing out on users who expect to be able to pay with their mobile device as well as via traditional methods," said Frank T. Young, senior vice president of global product and innovation at Global Payments. "AprivaPay Plus complements our existing suite of mobile solutions by giving our merchants the tools needed to offer a cutting-edge mobile solution, designed to provide the transaction security EMV affords."

The agreement enables Global Payments to provide white-labeled mobile payment products to its U.S. clients through Apriva's mobile payments solution, AprivaPay Plus.

AprivaPay Plus is designed to turn Apple or Android devices into mobile points of sale, enabling merchants to leverage their existing devices to meet customer demands for mobile purchases, according to the announcement. This streamlined application is ideal for small and mid-sized merchants, and can be used in any number of venues – storefront or mobile.

AprivaPay Plus is designed to deliver EMV chip card and MSR support, cloud based inventory, multi-user capability, enhanced reporting features to merchants via an online web companion portal, the latest device and operating system compatibility and compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations.
