Fortumo flies into physical goods with Angry Birds plush toys
Company is the latest direct carrier company to dabble beyond the digital content realm.
Direct carrier billing company Fortumo today announced its first foray into physical goods thanks to a partnership with mobile operator SingTel and Rovio, developers of the popular Angry Birds.
Post-paid subscribers of Singapore-based Singtel can now purchase Angry Birds plush toys and charge it to their phone bills, Fortumo founder Rain Rannu wrote in a company blog post.
Fortumo's current deal with Singtel and Rovio is a pilot. The company is seeking merchants and mobile operators for more pilots.
