EMV solution by CreditCall, ID Tech promises time, money savings

ID Tech card readers will be supported by the Creditcall EMV software development kit, ChipDNA for Windows and Linux, which can be integrated by developers.

Creditcall, an EMV-ready payment gateway and EMV migration specialist, has partnered with ID Tech, a manufacturer of point-of-sale peripherals, to provide EMV chip-card acceptance to retailers, kiosk and vending operators, according to a press release. ID Tech card readers will be supported by the Creditcall EMV SDK, ChipDNA for Windows and Linux, which can be integrated by developers.

"Creditcall's partnership with ID Tech will give merchants an unprecedented opportunity to upgrade their existing POS quickly and easily saving them time and money," said Sian Bosley, vice president of business development at Creditcall. "Our simple SDKs help fast-track EMV chip card acceptance for developers, by removing the complexities around EMV certifications and also include strong transaction security with P2PE."

Creditcall and ID Tech said developers, ISVs and VARs can apply the Windows and Linux SDKs in semi-integrated environments. iOS and Android EMV SDKs are available for tablet and smartphone based mobile POS products in addition to Creditcall's SDKs for e-commerce and m-commerce transactions. ChipDNA includes a comprehensive reporting and management tool, a terminal management system, point-to-point encryption and tokenization for the highest level of cardholder data protection, the release said.
