CorFire, PayPal integrate mobile commerce services

PayPal is integrating with CorFire, the mobile commerce business of SK C&C USA and a provider of mobile wallet, mobile marketing and trusted service manager services, is integrating. With the new partnership, Corfire will incorporate PayPal's Mobile Express Checkout, PayPal Here, and other services into its suite of products.

"CorFire uses years of industry experience to deliver secure mobile commerce solutions that expand customers' payments offering and, most importantly, broaden their reach to consumers who are increasingly relying on smartphones to conduct every day transactions," said Dr. Jae Chung, CEO and president of CorFire. "With PayPal, we will continue to demonstrate our commitment to make mobile payments easier in the retail environment."

Corfire said it will also work with PayPal to bring large merchants and their services — including mobile closed-loop cards, offers, and loyalty programs — into PayPal's mobile app. That means merchants will be able to deploy a mobile app that includes PayPal services while also being a part of PayPal's mobile app.

"By integrating PayPal into CorFire, merchants can accomplish two objectives: develop and manage their own mobile app while benefiting from the security and ease-of-use that PayPal offers, and leverage PayPal's mobile apps to reach millions of consumers," said Hill Ferguson, vice president of global product at PayPal.
