CARDFREE Inc., a mobile commerce provider, has launched its next generation order-ahead product and has also signed a patent license with Ameranth Inc., which provides web and wireless data synchronization.

According to a news release, the patent license enables CARDFREE to provide its online/mobile ordering solutions to restaurants within the US.

"Order-ahead has become one of the 'must haves' for many merchants but the last generation platforms weren’t built for mobile and had too many constraints to fulfill our customers’ needs," CARDFREE CEO Jon Squire said in the release.

Squire added that the company will launch its new order-ahead product with a "top 10 QSR" in the next few months.

CARDFREE recently partnered with Taco Bell for its mobile ordering launch in October.
