Bluefin introduces QuickSwipe mobile POS

Cloud-based payment services provider Bluefin Payment Systems has introduced a mobile POS system for iOS devices. The QuickSwipe system is offered to independent software vendors and Software-as-a-Service SaaS providers who want to offer mPOS capability to merchants.

Bluefin said QuickSwipe works with the ID Shuttle mobile mag-stripe card reader from ID TECH. Cardholder data is encrypted within the card reader without any information being stored on the device, and decrypted on reaching the QuickSwipe platform. Bluefin also offers transaction tokenization.

QuickSwipe provides software companies with a value-added service that enables small merchants to make a sale anytime, anywhere, John Perry, CEO of Atlanta-based Bluefin, said in a news release. "ISVs can easily integrate QuickSwipe into their mobile application using our (software development kit), or they can provide QuickSwipe as a stand-alone mobile payment system."

QuickSwipe allows merchants to build merchandise catalogues and inventories, assign administrators and users, collect tips and taxes, and issue refunds. The application supports credit and debit cards, ACH payments and cash journaling.

"When developing the application, it was important that we provide our ISV and SaaS partners with a simple yet elegant payment solution that they could integrate directly into their mobile application, and brand to their company, so that the merchant enjoys a seamless payment experience," Tim Barnett, Bluefin’s CTO, said in the release.
