AnywhereCommerce, Bluefin form payment, security pact

AnywhereCommerce can now offer Bluefin Payment Systems' PCI-validated P2PE product suite through its current platform using the Nomad mobile device paired with a smartphone or tablet.

AnywhereCommerce and Bluefin Payment Systems have announced the availability of Bluefin's P2PE product for AnywhereCommerce clients who use the Nomad 2, the industry's first PCI-validated P2PE mobile device with EMV, according to a press release.

As part of the partnership, AnywhereCommerce can now offer the security of Bluefin's PCI-validated P2PE product suite through its current platform using the Nomad mobile device paired with a smartphone or tablet. The compact EMV-certified and SRED-enabled card reader supports transactions via magnetic stripe, chip-and-signature and chip-and-PIN. Integration to the P2PE platform is accomplished using CorePay Secure, AnywhereCommerce's software development kit.

"We are proud to partner with a leading security organization such as Bluefin to extend the benefits of P2PE to mobile environments," said William Nichols, CEO of AnywhereCommerce. "Using our CorePay Secure, developers and ISVs can quickly and easily enhance the security of their mPOS solutions, reduce the complexities of PCI compliance, and extend peace of mind to merchants."
