Adyen offers SoundCloud users a single-click option

Dutch mobile payment provider Adyen announced it has been selected to provide a single-click payment solution for social music service SoundCloud. Adyen's payment solution will give SoundCloud the ability to process payments securely worldwide in a number of currencies.

SoundCloud is a "social sound platform" that gives users the ability to record, promote and share sounds through Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and Tumblr. It currently has more than 20 million registered users; its app has been downloaded more than eight million times.

"SoundCloud is growing rapidly so we were looking for a multi-currency payment solution with an integrated checkout process and fraud management system that could scale easily across the globe,” said Moritz Koenigsbuescher, SoundCloud product manager of payments. "Adyen provided SoundCloud with the best cultural fit in terms of the technology, professionalism and mutual understanding of our needs."

Leveraging Adyen's mobile payment and fraud management background, SoundCloud now supports more than 100 payment methods worldwide that can be used with a single click on a mobile device. Adyen’s payment solution is optimized to support local payment methods across the globe, including in Europe, the U.S., Asia and Latin America, the company said.
