18 Canadian restaurants partner with startup for mobile payments
Toronto-based startup Tab has partnered with 18 high-end restaurants in the city to use a mobile-payment app so that patrons can use it to pay for meals, according to a report in The Globe and Mail.
Tab uses geolocation for that app so users can check into a participating restaurant before they start their meal. Patrons set up a profile and store their payment information in the app.
Tab supplies restaurants with iPad Minis to keep track of app users in the restaurant.
