ROAM Data, best known as the white label provider for a number of mobile point-of-sale solutions, announced the release of its new software developer kit. With the SDK, third party developers can now integrate card-present mobile payment transactions into applications for iPhones, iPads and Android devices using ROAM's mobile commerce technology platform.
"The world's top software developers and payment processing companies partner with us because we are the market leader in providing secure mobile phone card readers, with over one million units shipped," said Will Graylin, CEO of ROAM Data. ROAM's solutions are incorporated into the mobile point of sale solutions offered by companies like Sage Payment Systems and Chase Paymentech, as well as ROAM's own ROAMpay product.
"Our encrypted mobile swipe technology and network are second to none," Graylin said. "We believe that combining these assets with ROAM's new software developer kit provides the essential tools and support to help someone build that next market-changing mobile commerce app for the tablet, iPhone or Android device."
ROAM said its new SDK supports mobile commerce-based apps development for invoicing, accounting, and retail point-of-sale applications. The tool kit ensures that developers are in compliance with PCI data security standards by including end-to-end encryption of card information.
The new SDK includes Roam card swipers for development and testing, the ROAMpay swipe API for the card swiper, test accounts for the development and testing of applications, and full documentation and code samples for both iOS and Android mobile operating systems.
