Billing and payment tech company Paymentus has launched a new suite of customer billing and payment tools built specifically so that utilities and government and financial institutions can offer self-service options such as mobile and Web billing and payments. The new cloud-based system means Paymentus is the first to offer revenue management, multi-channel bill payment options and electronic or mobile bill presentment options, the company said.
"After seeing the challenges billers face with managing disparate systems for all aspects of bill presentment and payments, we launched a multi-year research and development effort to revolutionize how billers manage payments and communicate with customers," said Dushyant Sharma, CEO of Paymentus. "The result of our work is the industry's first payment 2.0 platform, a superior billing and payment solution that will undoubtedly simplify revenue management and improve customer relationships."
The new Paymentus solution includes everything billers need to manage their revenue from bill presentment to payment reconciliation, the company said. The solution offers three pricing models and can be implemented in less than 60 days. It's also configurable so that billers can brand the user interface, customize reporting and choose how and when to communicate with customers.
Additionally, the new system lets customers pay their bills — both one-off and recurring — by credit card, debit card or e-check through a number of channels.
"Paymentus gives billers a single system that directly addresses customer expectations, while also significantly reducing the cost of payments," Sharma said. "In addition, the system gives billers, their employees and their customers more control, power and intelligence."
