Ericsson this week announced a partnership with Aconite to provide secure delivery and remote management of applications for consumers' NFC-enabled mobile phones.
A story at Voicendata said the service will give application issuers a turnkey solution for distributing mobile-based products to their customers and refreshing those products as needed. The service will allow an app issuer to create a security domain within any type of secure element in an NFC handset and to load, personalize, update or delete applets on that domain.
It will also allow issuers to transfer data between their security domains within secure elements and Aconite Mobile Application Manager, in order to manage payment transactions, EMV scripts, prepaid top-ups and other transactions.
The Aconite Mobile Application Manager is standard compliant with Global Platform standard messaging interfaces to ensure that the issuer's data remains isolated from the mobile infrastructure and maintained securely within the Aconite Mobile Application Manager environment.
